Hi {{first_name|friend}},
Good news: Philanthropist Melinda French Gates’s benevolence has swung towards menopause and perimenopause. On Thursday of last week, she announced her decision to apportion $215 million towards women’s health, with a focus on menopause care.
She shared her reasoning in an opinion piece for the New York Times, writing, “Here’s a scene that regularly plays out across the country: A woman walks into her doctor’s office with an increasingly debilitating set of symptoms — her sleep destroyed, joints aching, heart racing, memory slipping — and walks out with no diagnosis, no treatment and no plan.” You can hear more about her motivations and areas of focus in this video interview (slash promotional announcement) with The Vagenda’s Dr. Jen Gunter.
French Gates’s move not only allocates more money towards research and physician training, it also signals to other movers and shakers in her orbit that this area of women’s health is worth caring about. Tech companies are already aware; yesterday, Apple announced that it was adding perimenopause and menopause to its Health App cycle tracking feature.
Bye,
Your friends at Gloria

Stripes are always a favorite summer look. They can give off a sporty ease, or feel preppy and traditional, or skew more grunge-adjacent; the effect differs depending on the size of the stripe, the color, and the application. In other words, they offer something for everyone. Below, a few recent faves, as spotted on jeans, tees, dresses, jackets, and more.

We’ve seen a few wearable devices designed to help with stress and sleep, but this one caught our attention because it takes a different approach. Rather than tracking your body, it employs gentle vibrations to help calm your nervous system and encourage relaxation, focus, recovery, or better sleep.
We’re encouraged because staying asleep can be the hard part. Multiple studies have shown it can increase sleep by up to 60 minutes a night, and it's the only wearable scientifically proven to help prevent nighttime wakeups.
If you’re someone who feels constantly “on” or you’re curious about tools that support sleep management without adding another screen to your life, give it a try. Right now, you can take $99 off the price. Check it out here. #partner
